Just wanted to say: I love dogs! Do you? Do you have a favorite pet? I do. Mine is a dog. I would like to have a dog all to myself. I would be respectful, responsible, and loving. It would be wonderful if I had a dog all to myself.
To begin with, owning a dog is a big responsibility. A dog is actually a harder pet to take care of than most pets. To take care of a dog, you have to brush it, feed it, walk your dog, take it to the doctor for checkups, and so on. For example, if you have a pet turtle, you just have to feed it and wash the tank once in a while. Turtles are easier to take care of than most pets, especially dogs.
I remember when I had an old dog and I forgot to take him outside before I went to bed. So when I woke up in the morning I saw he had peed in my room. I learned a lesson to be responsible. I think owning a dog is a big responsibility.
Second, I would want to own a dog because I’m respectful. If you’re mean or treating your dog unkind, it may run away or not listen to you. I am very respectful to everyone and everything and do the right things. Also, when I grow up I might want to be a vet.
I remember a few months ago, my friends adopted a Pit bull and when I asked what happened to the dog and where they found it, they said it was thrown out of a truck! I was very surprised when they told me—the first owners must’ve been bad owners. I would be a good owner and be very respectful of my pet.
Last, but not least, I would like to own a dog because I am loving and caring. I think animals are unique, pretty, and a good part of nature, and I would love to take care of all animals. I remember a year ago when I was eight years old I asked for a dog, but I kind of wanted one my whole life—which that meant I liked them. I would take care of 20 dogs if I had to! I really, really like animals and dogs especially. I would like to own a dog because I love them and I am kind and caring.
In a nutshell, I would like to own a dog myself because I am responsible, respectful, and I’m caring and kind. That’s why I think I’d be a good owner. Would you like a dog for yourself? Or any other pet?
