First and foremost, The Florida Everglades are important because it is a home for animals. There are many animals that need this area to survive in the Everglades like the Bald Eagle, White Pelican, White Tailed Deer, The Raccoon, Rattlesnake, Red tailed hawk, American Alligator, etc. They are also endangered or threatened in the Everglades that will be discussed later. Have you ever thought about if the Everglades didn’t exist… nothing would live in the everglades like the animals or anything and the we wouldn’t  have much animals in  our environment! The Florida Everglades is really important because it is a home for animals.

Secondly, The Florida Everglades is important because it is home to several endangered animals. Without the Everglades these rare animals would die. These endangered animals are, The Florida Panther, the American Crocodile, the Wood Stork, the Red-Cockaded Woodpecker, etc. The problem is that if these rare animals start to disappear not only will we lose that or those animals it will effect on the animals that might rely on it for prey. Also another problem is that if the endangered animal starts to disappear it’s prey for example maybe lizards it could over run the area and eat all the grass and the Everglades would turn into a grass-less swamp! The Florida Everglades is really important because it is a home for several of endangered or threatened animals.

Thirdly, The Florida Everglades is important because it’s a home for plants. People think the Everglades are only home for the animals, but think again! There are thousands of plants in the Everglades mostly all you see are plants! If we didn’t have the Everglades all the plants would die and the animals that eat plants would die and the animals that eat them would die because there would be nothing left and there would be nothing in the Everglades and our environment and we actually need like 15% of the Everglades to live! we cant live with nature and water. The Florida Everglades is really important because it is a home to plants.

Next, The Florida Everglades is important because it is source of drinking water! Did you know that the Everglades gives water to about 7 million people! The Everglades is super important because we can’t live without water and where we get water is from the Everglades so were lucky that we got the wonderful Florida Everglades because if it didn’t exist we would die and we do NOT want that. The Florida Everglades is important because it is a source of drinking water.

Lastly, The Florida Everglades is important because it allows tourism. A lot of people visit the everglades national park, camp, have a boat ride, have a tour, learn facts about it, and etc. a lot of people like the Florida Everglades and visit it a lot. The Everglades also helps people get money. From the tours of the Florida Everglades they get money from people or schools they toured. The Everglades really helps us earn money and learn new things! The Florida Everglades is important because it is tourism.
